Hidey Privacy Policy

Hatch Labs ("we," "us," or "our") sets out below how we handle user information in connection with the app "Hidey" (the "App").

This policy applies to information that we collect, use, or otherwise handle in connection with the user's use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect email addresses and other information voluntarily provided by users to the extent necessary to respond to inquiries relating to the App.

We may also collect device information, usage information, and other technical information to the extent necessary for troubleshooting or support.

3. Face Data

The App may process face location information, face regions, face detection results, and other related information (collectively, "face data") in order to detect faces in photos and help users make those faces less visible.

Face data is used solely for detecting faces and presenting masking, blurring, or other editing options within the App.

We do not upload face data, biometric templates, or face detection results to our servers. We do not provide or share such information with any third parties.

At this time, face data processing is intended to take place on the user's device. Face data is used transiently during processing, and we do not anticipate retaining it after processing is complete.

4. Photos and Edited Results

At this time, photo editing and the storage of edited results in the App are intended to take place on the user's device. We do not currently anticipate uploading or obtaining users' photos or edited results themselves.

5. Purpose of Use

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, provide support, address issues, improve the App, and provide important notices.

6. Provision to Third Parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except where required by law. As stated above, we also do not provide or share face data with third parties.

7. Storage and Retention

Inquiry information and other information that we collect may be stored by us, or on services used by us for business operations, only for as long as reasonably necessary.

At this time, face data and information used for photo editing are intended to be processed on the user's device, and we do not anticipate retaining such information on an ongoing basis.

8. Security Management

We strive to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of collected information and take reasonable security measures to protect it.
